I'm with Minty on the 2nd set of 11-6-77, but set 1 is so good I think it saves that show.

You want overrated? OK, I know i'm setting myself up for grief, but here are 2...both 2 of the most DL'd shows on the LMA:

1) 2-15-73. Tried it, went "meh", and moved on. (listen to the EYES in set 2...it's the 2nd time played and it's still kind of w/out an 'identity' yet...plus the Stronger than Dirt jam is one of the weakest...tepid and uncertain.)

2) 2-26-77, yep, the Swing show. Everyone raves about the Terrapin, for instance, but if you really objectively listen to it, the lyrics are wrong, it's kind of flat, and ultimately there are scores of better ones. Yes, it has the novelty of being a first set opener, and first live version, but I suspect it gets its rep from that and not its actual worth. Then you have a 2nd set that's good, but not great. (Dancin' i'm told is a highlight, but it's never been a tune I much cared for).

With '77 being my favorite year by far, I just think there are far better examples than that show.

(preparing to dodge the rotten tomatoes as I type....)

I'd agree about 2/26/77, but I still like it. Like someone said earlier, it's hard to find a bad 77 show.

I must agree with the 2-26-77 Terrapin being overrated -- I've read the "first and best" comment many times, and I've never understood it.

The second set of this show, however, is far from overrated. It smokes, and makes up for the hesitancy exhibited in set 1.
